After hearing about and seeing firsthand the sub-par level of quality for customized apparel available for purchase online, a few industry leaders were shocked of the available garment options and even more taken back by the cheap quality of rough, thick prints that would crack and feel rough to the touch.

They grouped together to create Shirt Honey. With a common mission to bring the best of both worlds together and to produce the same high quality standard that you would see in high end fashion retailers and boutiques.

Our mission is to provide the ease and simplicity of custom designing and ordering t-shirts online without sacrificing the quality of the garment or print. We offer only low wholesale prices and use high quality eco-friendly inks to create vibrant, smooth, & soft prints that stretch on even softer and more breathable fabrics.

All ordering can be done directly online without the need for back and forth emails and phone calls.

Artwork sizing, colors, and notes can be done via our web app and prices will be automatically generated without any hidden fee’s or set up charges. You can easily track the status of your order, re-order previous designs, as well as save your artwork in your artwork library to access in the future.

All orders are triple checked and reviewed by our team to ensure quality and satisfaction.

Prints - We print using eco-friendly waterbased and plastisol inks that are vibrant in color, smooth to the touch, and stretch with the fabric. Compare that with the rough, thick, heavy prints you’re probably accustomed to throwing out after one wear. All of our prints can be washed countless times before any fading is even visible!

Embroidery - All of our embroidery is digitized and checked by a live person to ensure stitch accuracy rather than many embroiderers who use automated software to digitize their embroidery artworks.

Packaging - All of our apparel items come individually folded & polybagged with a size sticker to easily store, organize, and distribute.

In order for you to prolong the life of your custom garment & print, we suggest following the care instructions below:

Machine wash cold, inside-out, gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colors. Use non-chlorine bleach, only when necessary. No fabric softeners. Tumble dry low, or hang-dry for longest life. Cool iron inside-out if necessary. Do not iron decoration.

Be wary of washing and drying on a high setting, especially when the garment is 100% cotton. High-temperature washes can fade and crack the print, and a high-temperature dryer settings can shrink the garment, as well as damage the print.

We use the latest direct-to-garment (DTG) printing technology to offer a wide variety of printable garments and design color options at an affordable price. The DTG ink in this process is different from the ink screen printers use. Keep in mind that the original manufacturer's care instructions don't take into consideration the DTG printing process.

Packing & Shipping

We do offer local pick up from our downtown Los Angeles, CA warehouse, this may be selected at the final check out stage of the ordering process.

Yes, we offer free standard UPS Ground shipping on all standard turn around time orders, placed via the website, over $500.

All of our items (at no extra charge to you) come individually folded & polybagged with a standard size sticker on the bag for you to be able to easily organize, sell, and distribute your items, did we mention it’s free?

Our standard turn time to produce and ship an order is 14 business days from the time you place the order.

We offer three quicker delivery options at checkout for rush deliveries.

Rush 1 - Shipped via - UPS 3 Day - 8 business day turn around time with an addition 22% of the order subtotal.

Rush 2 - Shipped via - UPS 2 Day - 6 business day turn around time with an addition 27% of the order subtotal.

Expedite - Shipped via - UPS Next Day Air - 5 business day turn around time with an addition 42% of the order subtotal.

Please note that the transit time must be included to the turn around time you choose upon checkout.

We ship all orders via UPS. The shipping method and speed may be customized upon checkout.

Currently we only offer shipping within the United States and Canada through the website. Please contact a representative to see if we are able to ship to your country.

Art & Design

Embroidery - Vector pdf or ai files are best.

DTG / Direct to Garment -
We accept .jpeg, .png, .eps, and .pdf.

For best results, please use a minimum of 150 dpi resolution .jpeg or .png images, or vectored .eps/.pdf images without embedded artwork with all fonts converted to outlines.

Screen Print - For best results, please use a minimum of 300 dpi resolution or vectored artwork. We accept .psd, .tiff, .png, .ai, and .pdf/.eps images. Kindly note to convert all fonts to outlines and to embed any artwork files.

Definitely don’t worry! Our design team reviews every artwork and order to confirm that the artwork quality is more than sufficient for a high quality print. One of our team members will notify you if your artwork does not meet our standards for a quality print and will offer solutions to move forward. Please note if artwork does not meet the guidelines there may be a slight delay in your order.

Yes, we only offer sleeve printing and embroidery for quantities greater than 50 that are screen printed or embroidered. At the moment we are not able to digitally print onto sleeves.

Smaller quantity orders below 25 and full color + photographic images are typically printed with DTG unless specified by the customer. Larger orders may be screen printed however we do have a maximum of 6 colors for screen printing.

Pricing & Payment

To receive a quote start by selecting your product, this will take you to our Design Studio where you will simply upload your design on your selected product and then hit the Get Quote button or Check Out button on the bottom of the screen. At this point you’ll be able to adjust the number of colors as well as print locations to see your updated pricing in real time. Once you are on the quote screen, select your desired quantity and then hit Update Quote. You will be given a quote for the total, and the cost for each item. Please note that we do have price breaks which are listed below for bulk orders.

Yes, there definitely are! Our major price breaks are at 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000 items per style.

Anything over 1,000 units of a single design we will custom quote out for you as well.

A CA resale certificate is required to waive the tax for any products shipped or picked up within the state of CA. Products shipped outside of CA will not be charged sales tax. Kindly email your resale permit to hello@shirthoney.com and we will update your account so orders are not charged with tax.

A resale certificate lets retailers buy products without paying sales tax if they plan to resell them. This means that retailers who sell products with a sales tax permit can apply for a resale certificate.

We determine pricing based on the cost of the specific product, the number of colors used in your design for printing, the number of stitches for embroidery, and by the quantity of shirts required for your order. Everything is calculated automatically through our software.

No, we do not charge separate set up fees. Pricing is all-inclusive.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club. We can also accept check and ACH / wire transfers with approval, please note that these payment methods will change the delivery date as we must wait for the payment to clear prior to beginning.

Why do we hold orders?

We may occasionally place your order on hold due to print file issues, security concerns, address confirmation and similar. Essentially - whenever we need to verify something with you or require changes to the order.

How are holds removed?

Once you've updated your order or confirmed our concern, we need to go back and review it before the hold can be removed. This is to avoid repeated holds in case the update didn't go through or there are more issues.
In some cases (typically for minor issues) we may let you remove the hold yourself by approving to proceed.
